Do you charge by the hour or by the project?

We provide fixed, itemized pricing for each project. We do not charge by the hour.

What will it cost, and can the price change?

Most of our estimates are fixed-price and include a detailed contract outlining the scope of work, payment terms, and conditions. Pricing may only change if hidden issues are discovered or if you request additional work. Any changes will be documented in a change order that must be approved by both parties before proceeding.

Do I need to purchase my own materials?

No, we supply all required materials and coordinate all deliveries. We also offer a free shopping service, where one of our experienced team members will assist you in selecting items such as tile, appliances, cabinetry, and fixtures that reflect your style and preferences.

Can I choose my own materials?

Absolutely. If you prefer a specific product, you can choose to purchase it directly, and we will either deduct our material cost or adjust the pricing accordingly.

How do I pay for services?

We accept cash, cheque, and e-transfer for all payments.

Do you work evenings and weekends?

Yes. We understand the importance of meeting deadlines and often schedule work during evenings and weekends to complete your project efficiently.

What are your payment terms?

We typically require a 45% deposit at project start, with progress payments scheduled throughout the project. The remaining balance is due upon completion and your satisfaction. We are flexible and can customize a payment schedule that works for you.

How much does a bathroom remodel cost?

Bathroom renovations typically range from $10,000 to $15,000, depending on scope and design. Smaller updates can start as low as $5,000. Contact us for a free quote tailored to your needs.

How do you minimize disruption during the project?

We take steps to protect your home, including setting up dust barriers, using floor runners and drop cloths, ventilating the space, and performing daily clean-ups and debris removal.

When can you start, and how long will my project take?

We provide time estimates based on the scope of your project. While factors like weather, material availability, or change orders can affect timelines, once we begin, our team works consistently until completion.

Do you use subcontractors?

Yes, we occasionally work with licensed subcontractors for specialized trades such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, masonry, and stone countertop installations. All subcontractors meet our high-quality standards and are managed directly by our team.

Will my project require a permit?

Projects involving structural, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical changes typically require a permit. We’ll determine the permit requirements for your project and handle the entire permitting process on your behalf. Permit fees are not included in the initial estimate.

How do I get started?

It’s easy — call or text us at 647-507-7723 or email info@finishedbasementsto.com. We’ll schedule a time to discuss your vision, evaluate the space, and provide you with a tailored estimate.
